Local taxi drivers thoroughly enjoyed a different trip today, after being ‘booked’ by the Premier Inn Livingston (Bathgate).
The final destination being Starlaw Road, Bathgate and the ‘call’s nature’ was an invitation by Premier Inn Livingston (Bathgate) to this special get together for local cab drivers to familiarise them with the hotel’s location and facilities, following its recent £1million refurbishment.
Cab companies in attendance included Bathgate-based ‘County Private Hire’ to Livingston located ‘Allthefours’. Everyone had a chance to explore the 74-bedroom hotel, tuck into some brunch and meet the helpful, friendly and knowledgeable Premier Inn team.
Mike Clarke, general manager for Premier Inn Livingston (Bathgate) said: “We had a good turn out today and it was great to meet the local taxi firms. Our official opening was in May and meeting other businesses and working closely with them, is part of our plan, to familiarise them with what we can offer guests. The taxi drivers were impressed at what they saw for leisure and business guests, which is rooms that are good value for money, clean and very comfortable.
“We have a friendly, professional and helpful team. A competitively priced meeting room, Wi-Fi, a bright and attractive restaurant area – where we serve breakfast and coffees throughout the day. We’re also in a convenient location, just off the M8 at Junction 3A and being only a 25 and 35 minute drive from Edinburgh and Glasgow respectively.”
William Fisher of County Private Hire said: “It was a first-class event. It was excellent to see what the hotel has to offer guests and after seeing it for ourselves – it would be the first place we’d recommend people to stay.”
Russell Brand from Allthefours added: “Today was really useful for us as taxi drivers. It’s great to see local companies like Premier Inn, looking at ways we can all work together to help each others’ businesses.”
