Scots looking to make it big in the hospitality industry are getting the chance to earn their stripes at some of the world's greatest locations.
A scheme to promote the sector as a place to work is giving people the opportunity to work at the six-star Jumeirah resort in Dubai and the Disney Institute in Florida.
The Hospitality Industry Trust Scotland has launched this year's Emerging Talent Scholarship programme; a scheme designed to search for the stars of tomorrow's hospitality industry.
It will give 100 people the chance to work with leading chefs, marketeers and hoteliers or even allow some to create their own teaching programme.
There's also a new High Level Scholarship for more experienced industry leaders.
David Cochrane, Chief Executive of HIT Scotland, is proud to announce the expanded programme.
"Over the last 13 years the hospitality industry has come together to raise more than £2million to help nearly 7500 young people develop their careers through bursaries and scholarships.
"To be able to now offer more than 100 scholarships is a phenomenal effort."
There are six types of Emerging Talent Scholarships. Scholarships range from craft courses with leading chefs; learning experiences on management courses at the Disney Institute in Florida; scholarships placements at the best Scottish hotels to a fortnight working for the Jumeirah group at its six-star resorts in Dubai.
There are also designer courses which provide the opportunity to structure a learning experience in a particular area of interest.
Past scholars have toured whisky facilities, spent two weeks touring different kitchens and worked in exclusive international boutique hotels.
