Four Poofs and a Piano, the house band on the hugely successful BBC1 Jonathan Ross Show, made a real hit with the Scottish hospitality industry when they played at the sell-out Hospitality Industry Trust Scotland’s (HIT) P.O.E.T.S. lunch, at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Glasgow.

The camp musicians, who are famous for their customised interpretation of well known tunes, helped make the fundraiser HIT Scotland's most successful Glasgow lunch event ever.

More than £46,000 was raised and it will all go to help young people entering the hospitality industry and those in the industry who are looking to develop their career. Full details on the range of scholarships and bursaries are available via the website www.hitscotland.org.

David Cochrane, Chief Executive of HIT commented “We nearly doubled last year’s event total and it is great to see people being so generous. Everyone had a great afternoon, did some networking and possibly a little bit of business but most importantly they came together to show their support for the hospitality industry as a whole.”

Tickets are now available for the next HIT event, an inaugural dinner in Aberdeen on the 11th October. The James Bond inspired Casino Royale evening takes place in the city’s Marcliffe Hotel, tickets are available from Event Consultants Scotland 0131 557 5767 or email hit@eventconsultants.com.
